The Laguna Board of REALTORS® show their community spirit

The 54th Annual Laguna Beach Patriots Day parade was on Saturday, March 7th.  The theme this year was EVERYDAY HEROES.  The Laguna Board of REALTORS® once again participated in the parade as REALTORS and Affiliates are indeed everyday heroes to many!

A 1975 Pontiac Grand Ville Brougham convertible owned by Affiliate Patrick Zellar of Franklin Loan Center, took 2nd Place in the Vintage Car Contest and carried the 2019 REALTOR of the year Natalie Alvarez of Compass and the Affiliate of the Year, Bob Ortiz of Bob Ortiz Photography.

With big smiles, waving flags and adorned in red, white and blue, the REALTORS® and Affiliates demonstrated to their friends and neighbors their community spirit as they greeted the crowds along the parade route.  Back by popular demand, creative wearable cardboard houses were submitted as our entry in the parade.  We have done these little houses in the past, since they were a crowd favorite, we thought this would be the perfect theme for our entry. – Over the microphone the parade announcer commented, “HERE THEY COME AGAIN, THE LAGUNA BOARD OF REALTORS CHARMERS!” The house designs constructed by the REALTORS® and Affiliates under the direction of local artist, Loraine Mullen-Kress were everything from beach cottages to midcentury modern styles. Also included were replicas of iconic buildings in town such as, the Lifeguard Tower at Main Beach, the LB Police Station, the LB Animal Shelter, and a replica of the Laguna Board of REALTORS® office designed by local artist, Kurt Kress.
