Mark your calendars! The Laguna Board of REALTORS® and Affiliates Charitable Assistance Fund will be holding their 21st Annual Pet Parade and Chili Cook-Off on September 24th at Tivoli Too!, 777 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, 11:00AM-3:00PM.
Known to be one of the most family fun events of the year; the only “truly Laguna event for locals”, you can’t miss experiencing the various chili concoctions prepared by amateur and aspiring chefs competing for local fame. Our guests will have an opportunity to taste chili cooked by the chili contestants, aspiring to capture this year’s winning title for the coveted trophy, awarded by a panel of local astute gourmand judges.
In addition to bringing your appetite, don’t forget your pet! Pet owners of all ages can compete for awards by entering their pets in the six different categories: Prettiest Female, Cutest Baby (12 months & younger), Most Handsome Male, Best Costume and Most Gorgeous Senior (10 years & older). Pets along with their owners will “strut their stuff” in a pet parade to be judged by local animal enthusiasts. The event includes many activities for children and those that are children at heart.
Doors will open at 11:00am with Pet Registration from 11:30am to 12:45pm. Buy tickets at the door, Adults $5, Children 16 years of age or younger are free.
Last year’s chili cook-off defending champion Brandon Menchaca and Coldwell Banker will be amongst those competing for bragging rights. Be among the finest chili makers in town competing for the most coveted First Place Trophy. You will have the opportunity to promote your business to approximately 400 people in just one short afternoon.
Proceeds from this event will support local animal charities in Laguna Beach: Bluebell Foundation for Cats, Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, The Pet Rescue Center, LBOR Charitable Assistance Fund, Pacific Marine Mammal Center and “PUP”, Protecting Unwanted Pets, Laguna Beach.
The Laguna Board of REALTORS® and Affiliates is an organization run by hundreds of volunteers for the benefit of their members and the public.
