CENTENNIAL CORNERSTONE
In honor of the Laguna Board of REALTORS Centennial celebration in 2024, the Board set out to interview Board Members, Affiliates, Directors, Past Presidents & others who have positively impacted the Board, its Members & the Laguna Beach community at large over the past decades.
Thank you to all of our members for sharing their stories with us!

This historical photograph shows the intersection of Broadway and Beach in Laguna Beach as it appeared in 1924.
Key Historical Details:
- The White Building: The structure prominently featured in the center was the home of the Laguna Beach Realty Board (now known as the Laguna Board of REALTORS®). [1]
- Significance of 1924: This was a pivotal year for the organization, as it was formally chartered on September 8, 1924, even before Laguna Beach was officially incorporated as a city in 1927. [1, 2]
- The Landscape: The image captures the rural, undeveloped nature of the area at the time, showing the hills and open fields near the entrance to what is now a bustling downtown district. [1]
The building across the street later became the site of the Telephone Central Office, a notable Art Moderne structure that still stands today. [1]
